The CyberDome Theater will be open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays only.
Two Small Pieces of Glass:
The Amazing Telescope
Produced as a part of the International Year of Astronomy, this show is being distributed to hundreds of planetariums around the world, including our own! In the show, an astronomer takes two teenage students through the history of the telescope and the discoveries it has allowed us to make. You will see the work of Galileo, Huygens, Newton, Hubble and many others, as well as the largest observatories in use today. Two Small Pieces of Glass also features a soundtrack recorded by the London Symphony Orchestra. In addition, the companion documentary, 400 Years of the Telescope, will air on KPTS Thursday, April 16 at 7 p.m. Another wonderful astronomy program, Seeing in the Dark, will follow at 8 p.m.
