Roots and Shoots is a global network of 8,000 groups that work to improve the world through service and learning projects that promote care and concern for animals, the environment and the human community. This is your chance to join in this effort and carry out Dr. Goodall’s hope for the future.

Session Dates
March 27 – Focus: Environment
Investigate the importance of plants and get your own garden started as you make a seed planter.
April 17 – Focus: Community
How does disaster relief work and what you can do to help the community if there is a tornado or flood damage?
May 15 – Focus: Animals
This session features Birds of Prey with Cheney, Kansas’ Eagle Valley Raptor Center. Try to eat like a bird.
June 20 – Environment
Participate in a service project – as you walk along the Arkansas River and pick up trash.
July 17 – Community
Don’t for get the little creatures! Compare an ant community to a human community, learn to identify a few ant species and construct an ant out of recycled materials!

All youth participating in this program need to be accompanied by at least one paying adult/guardian.
