What is Final Friday?

Exploration Place, as well as various galleries, studios and retailers throughout downtown (Wichita, Kan.) use Final Friday to unveil and debut new shows. The event is free and open to the public and some locations provide light refreshments. A free shuttle will circulate through downtown to make it easier for you to get from one location to the next. The trolley will also drive by restaurants and shops and runs from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. For more about Final Friday and other downtown events, click here.

Technology is constantly changing our lives and these pieces reflect that, using traditional media, photography and digital media. Starting with line work that had its origins in blueprints and schematic drawings, the works are centered on the continually changing social structures affected by technology.

Immersed in Technology will be displayed at Exploration Place through Sunday, October 21, 2012.
