Grandma's closet is an interactive story time where items are shown and a story is told about one of the items. Many of the items are things the children might not have seen before. The story changes each month. It can be seen, at the stage, in the castle on Tuesday and Saturday mornings at 11:15.
The universe takes center stage this year - as we celebrate the International Year of Astronomy. That's because 400 years ago in 1609, Galileo Galilei became the first person to view the stars, planets and moons in the sky through a telescope.
To mark the momentous anniversary of this astronomical event, 2009 has been proclaimed the International Year of Astronomy (IYA2009) by the International Astronomical Union and UNESCO. IYA2009 will be a global celebration of astronomy and its contributions to society and culture.
EP's education staff has developed a year of special events and activities under the IYA2009 theme, "The Universe, Yours to Discover." Click here for more.
