Why Support Exploration Place?

Many people don’t know that EP is a mission-driven, 501(c)(3) not-for-profit institution. Although EP receives government funding (which is used for operational costs only), EP still relies on admissions, Memberships, public and voluntary contributions from individuals, area businesses and foundations to fund new exhibitions, programs, shows and activities.

Admission fees represent only about 60% of what it actually costs to provide EP offerings to visitors. In addition, school groups pay only 15% of the total admissions cost when visiting. So we look to those in the community who are willing to invest in this extraordinary facility.
